Migrating from Google+

Google+ is being shut down for individuals. They do offer an option for downloading everything of your data and activity, but this archive in my opinion is pretty much dead and useless, unless there is a way of importing it to some other similar service.

Are there any free and distributed/federated services similar to Google+, which can import Google+ archives? What are the options for migrating from Google+?

Yes, mostly diaspora*, Friendica, Hubzilla and Zap I think - but

which can import Google+ archives?

I’m not aware of any project from the Fediverse that can import Google+ data.

AFAIK you have to start from scratch. Or you file an issue with the projects and one of the developers has time to implement such importer.
